OUR CORAL FARM

Run by the Basile family, our farm is located in the Southern Group of Islands of The Houtman Abrolhos off the coast of Geraldton, WA.  The Abrolhos Islands are the southernmost true coral reef in the Indian Ocean, and one of the highest latitude reef systems in the world.

Abrolhos Islands

We have a state-of-the-art aquaculture grafting facility on the Abrolhos Islands that operates to strict biosecurity standards. It has been built as a wet lab that can be hosed down with all water feeding into filtering systems before returning to the ocean.

Geraldton Facility

Our Geraldton facility on the mainland houses coral that is transported from the Abrolhos Islands to be shipped directly to buyers.  Here we also manufacture all of our own plug/discs to grow coral on and all infrastructure that houses the coral on the ocean floor.

  • In our shed in Geraldton we have created a facility to house coral that is transported from the Abrolhos Islands to the mainland which can then be shipped directly to buyers.

  • This is an 8000 litre system with specialised lights for coral in temperature controlled conditions.
  • Also in our Geraldton shed we manufacture all of our own plug/discs to grow coral on and all infrastructure that houses the coral on the ocean floor which is then transported to the Abrolhos Islands.
